From the coast to further inland and into the mountains, the region abounds with walks. From footpaths for a stroll to hiking trails through the forest, these routes offer many magnificent views that can only be seen after walking a few kilometres. The most beautiful walks in the Basque Country
The coastal path is certainly one of the best-known walks in the Basque country. From Bidart to Hendaye, the 54km route runs alongside the Atlantic Ocean. The seafront combines breathtaking panoramas with gentle sea breezes. The Rhune trail is 10km from the hotel and leads to the summit of La Rhune. A steep path will take you there and allow you to discover the fauna and flora typical of the region.
Further down the coast, the Jaizkibel ridge lies in the Spanish Basque Country. It offers a hike reserved for the most experienced among you. It's a steep climb, but one that offers breathtaking views of the ocean.
